The birth of an idea

In December 2024, a new colleague joined our clinical team. He was an experienced physician who was enrolled in a PhD program since three years — without a single publication. He had some data, but no strategy — no idea where to publish, and no guidance on how. His supervisor’s involvement consisted mainly of an annual email questioning his lack of progress. I decided to step in and do the work his mentor should have done. He is now thriving. Thats how the FastTrack to PhD idea was born.

Putting my ideas on “paper” came naturally. Throughout my life, I’ve written things that never left the drawer. I am most probably not a literary talent, but that’s not the point either. FastTrack to PhD is not literature. It’s a workflow manual. In a hyper-modern world, books may seem outdated. Still, for visual learners like me — who absorb complex structures better from text than from audio — a book remains an appreciated format.

Why (e-)book?
